Ingredients
For the Chicago Style Hot Dogs:
- 1 Package Hot Dogs, Grilled
- 1 Package Poppyseed Buns
- Yellow Mustard
- Dill Pickle Spears
- 1-2 Large Tomatoes, Sliced
- Sweet Relish
- 1 Jar Sport Peppers
- 1 White Onion, Chopped
For the Coney Island Dogs:
- 1 Package Hot Dogs, Grilled
- 1 Package White Buns, Steamed
- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- ½ Cup Tomato Paste
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Mustard
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/8 Teaspoon Cumin
- ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
- ½ Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 2 Cups Water
- Yellow Mustard
For the Mexican Street Corn Dogs:
- 1 Package Hot Dogs, Grilled
- 1 Package White Buns
- 1 Can Corn
- Feta Cheese
- ¼ Cup Green Onion, Chopped
- ¼ Cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon Hot Sauce
- 1 Teaspoon Lime
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- ½ Teaspoon Minced Garlic
Instructions
- To make the Chicago Style Hot Dogs, place the grilled hot dog in the bun and top with sweet relish, chopped onion, yellow mustard, a single pickle, four sport peppers, and two slices of tomato. Repeat until you have your desired number of hot dogs.
- To make the Coney Island Dogs, brush a skillet with olive oil. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, chili powder, salt, ground mustard, garlic powder, cumin, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Cook in the skillet until brown.
- Add tomato paste and water. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat. Allow to simmer for 2 hours. Place the grilled hot dog in the bun and top with the ground beef mixture, yellow mustard and shredded cheddar. Repeat assembly until you have your desired number of hot dogs.
- To make the Mexican Street Corn Dogs, mix together mayo, hot sauce, lime juice, and salt; set aside. Chop the green onions, including the white parts. Brush a skillet with olive oil and cook the corn and chopped white scallions until brown; season with salt and pepper. Place the grilled hot dog in a bun and top with the corn mixture, chopped green onions and feta. Use a spoon to drizzle the mayo sauce over the top. Repeat assembly until you have your desired number of hot dogs.
