Zelda’s style and personality are evolving every single day. Each morning, she can’t wait to pick out her clothes and loves helping select new pieces when we are shopping. Girl definitely has an opinion! While her style eye can be very toddler sometimes, overall her fashion sense is on point. I love watching her put things together – it’s all part of the magic! I usually let her take the reigns because it is so much fun. Here is a quick style diary of how Zelda has dressed herself in the new year.

A toddler in a pink faux fur jacket and light pink pom hat with a sweater and jeans.

Pretty in pink! If you ask Zelda what her favorite colors are, she’ll tell you pink and white. I’m all about it and am happy to give her what she wants. If you’ve checked out our Instagram lately, you’ve probably noticed a TON of pink! We love this faux fur coat and it’s on SALE for under $40! Additionally, we recently bought these new VANS, which are adorable. We love VANS because they are easy for Zelda to slide on by herself and we all know anything a toddler can do on their own is a total bonus.

A little girl in a grumpy cat bathing suit standing in an elevator.

It’s no secret that Zelda loves kitty cats. Since buying a cat isn’t happening anytime soon, we decided to celebrate her love with a kitty cat one-piece swimsuit. Zelda gets so many compliments when she wears this and it was super cheap. This is our go-to indoor pool swimsuit. The low price point is perfect for the winter months because when summer rolls around and it doesn’t fit anymore, it doesn’t hurt as much.

A little girl in jeans, a pink cowboy hat and brown cowboy boots at PBR in Chicago.

Our little cowgirl loves PBR! Yes, that is right – she loves professional bull riders. She really embraces everything about the look and anytime she can rock her cowgirl boots she is all about it. We picked these boots up in Aspen a few years ago and bought them too big. If you’re going to invest in cowboy boots for your child, I highly recommend buying them a few sizes larger than what they currently need. It is a narrow fit, the foot still fits nicely and they can actually grow into them. Don’t buy them to fit the foot exactly or they will only work for a short period of time.

Three children sleeping on the floor in Pottery Barn sleeping blankets.

Chicago (and the rest of the country) are oh so cold! What better way to cuddle up than with these amazing Monique Lhuillier x Pottery Barn Kids sleeping bags. They are faux fur, have built in pillows and look like they are part of your living room. Zelda and her friends love watching TV cuddled up in them.

A little girl in a white faux fur jacket from FabKids.

When you live in Chicago, it is all about winter outerwear because it is freezing. We like to find pieces that are very warm and don’t break the bank. We’ve been loving FabKids this season because they have so many great pieces that come out every single month. This faux fur coat is under $50! However, the best part is that it is machine washable. If it wasn’t, I would never buy my child a cream coat.

A toddler's ski outfit at Wilmot Mountain.

If you read our post about Zelda learning to ski at Wilmot Mountain, you know we broke down exactly what to wear when you go skiing. It’s no joke – your outfit will make or break your day. I got lucky the first time around and nailed it. If you want to see how to do the same, make sure to read our ski post. This ski outfit is warm, super cute and both pieces are under $75.
