On Wednesday Zelda, myself and members of the GB Mom’s Crew joined the Museum of Science and Industry for a super fun block party! I can’t tell you the last time I had been to the museum, and I think that was true for a bunch of us! We made our way to their flower and veggie filled garden space, where the party was in full swing. We decided to grab some lunch before diving into the activities, so we nibbled on things like hot dogs, hamburgers, Mediterranean pasta salad and watermelon, all of which was delicious!
After finishing lunch off with a little ice cream, we hit up the activities. The activities were of course science based, and hands on so there was no loss of interest. They had an egg drop, and seeing their faces while they watched their water and stomp rockets take flight was priceless! Radio Flyer was kind enough to help put on the event, and brought out some of their awesome products for the kids to test out and ride around in, something that didn’t take much convincing on the kids’ part at all! There was even a little friendly competition in the form of a race, which was so fun to watch.
After the race and the raffle (they gave out a ton of awesome product, including some Radio Flyers, and a couple GB Mom’s Crew members even won!) we decided to take some time to relax, and by relax I mean climb up and down the stairs over and over. In between the stair climbing, we took some photos, shared a little popcorn and explored. It was the perfect way to close out the day, and we can’t wait to go back!
