You can’t go out on Valentine’s Day without fabulous hair! Chilling at home tonight? Why not make a hair tutorial party out of the evening? No matter what you’re doing, now is the time to master our favorite Valentine’s Day approved hair tutorials. (Don’t worry, you can wear them after the holiday is over too!)

Don’t be intimidated! These sleek waves are classic and surprisingly simple to do on your own. It does take a little time to achieve and there are two things to remember while creating this style. First, spray each section of your hair with hairspray before curling it. Second, when you’re ready to curl, make sure you pay attention to the way the hair is wrapped around the barrel (as shown in the video). Using the correct wrapping technique is essential to creating these pretty, flowy waves! Finish the look with a pretty barrette behind one ear.

This elevated ponytail is excellent for date night and beyond. The key is to wave your hair first (using the technique above!) in order to achieve the ideal volume and weight. If you don’t, your ponytail won’t have the same fullness. Whatever you do, make sure you don’t skip that step! Once your waves are set, this style only takes five minutes. I added some pretty clips for polish. Bonus: This style looks amazing the day after too!

Braids are all the rage and they’re not going anywhere! I especially love this one because it involves more twisting than braiding. If your braiding skills are not super strong you can still manage it. As with the first two styles, volume is extremely important. Wave your hair first!

What would Valentine’s Day be without my valentine?! When Zelda saw Amanda (from Blohaute) and I creating these hairstyles she asked to get in on the fun. We decided on a mohawk braid and tied the end into a top knot. Since Zelda loves some sparkle, we also added a little holographic foam for fun and texture!
