What to Do This Weekend: Wiggleworms, Baby Yoga, Au Fudge & More!

Between our lake trip, hosting a dear friend’s baby shower and planning for Zelda’s birthday bash, we haven’t stopped moving over the last few weeks! I could not be more excited for Zelchella and cannot wait to share everything with you afterwards. It’s going to be such a magical event. Since our upcoming weekend is going to be full of fun I want yours to be too! Here is a great list of stuff to do in Chicago and Los Angeles this weekend. If you’re in the L.A. area, it is definitely time to stop by Au Fudge if you haven’t done so already — it is one of Z’s favorite spots.

Wiggleworms at Navy Pier: Fans of Old Town School of Folk Music can switch things up and head to Navy Pier for class on Friday, July 28th. They have a few different sessions, which you can see here, and if Friday doesn’t work for you they have other dates available too!

Seadog Cruise and the Chicago Children’s Museum: This is a fantastic deal — it is $35 for ages 3 and up and $12 for those between one and two years old. The ticket includes a ride on a boat on Lake Michigan and a ticket to the Chicago Children’s Museum! What I love is that you don’t have to visit both on the same day, so if you attend one and your babe has a meltdown you can save the other activity for different day! Get all the details and book your tickets here

Mr. Dave at the West Loop Family Festival: On Sunday, July 30th this fun fest takes place on Washington Boulevard between 11am and 7pm. Mr. Dave’s set is at 3pm and there will be yummy food available for purchase throughout the day! Get entrance details and more here.

Mom and Baby Yoga at Monica & Andy: On Monday, July 31st at 10:30am Monica & Andy are teaming up with CorePower Yoga to host this Mom and Baby class at their Lincoln Park storefront! It’s $10 and you can register here. You also may want to shop their super cute new dresses while you’re there!

Bowling at Kings Bowl: After 7pm this turns into a 21 and older spot, but if you go during the day you and your crew can bowl, play games and of course eat! They have a kids menu that looks like it would satisfy even the pickiest of eaters, making this an ideal option for a rainy day when you need to get out of the house!

Wicker Park Fest: Summer in Chicago means a ton of street fests and on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th you can head to Milwaukee Avenue. You’ll find activities for both kids and grownups. We saw that The Kids Table is scheduled to be there, so you know there will be awesome cooking tips and tricks galore! Get the exact location and entrance details here

Los Angeles

A trip out west is on our summer bucket list, and I know a lot of you have the same idea. Here’s a few fun things to do that will make the whole crew happy!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios: This park is tucked away north of Hollywood and is a must see for fans of the series! And while tickets to the park are expensive, it gets you more than just the Harry Potter experience! You will also receive access to the entire park, which is full of things to do. You can order online to save a little bit on your tickets. Kids who are under two years old are free.

Au Fudge: We’ve included this before but if you haven’t been it’s so worth it! Zelda and I are overdue for a trip back because I feel like she’ll love it even more than she did the first time around!
