Sharzad Kiadeh is the host of a popular show on YouTube called The Mom’s View, which focuses primarily on mom related topics. In addition to The Mom’s View, she co-hosts a brand new beauty series on Mixed Makeup called The SASS, where she tries unusual beauty treatments around LA.
Sharzad also runs her own personal blog and YouTube channel Lux Lyfe that covers a variety of content, from makeup to food to travel to fun. Her goal is to entertain, inform, and inspire, all while making people smile! We absolutely ADORE Sharzad and could not be more excited to feature her!
How many children do you have? What inspired their names?
I have one 10 month old boy named Idris. It’s an Arabic name meaning fiery leader. It’s also my father-in-law’s name and my husband’s middle name. I’ve been obsessed with it since the first time I heard it. We call him Reese for short…actually, that’s a lie, I call him shmush.
What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family?
The BEACH. I grew up playing in the sand and I love to see my little sweet potato doing the same. He is a true California Baby!
Are there any children’s brands you find yourself buying over and over again?
Ralph Lauren. My hubby is addicted to their site and boxes are constantly showing up at our door. My son usually looks like an itty bitty gentleman that belongs on a yacht in St.Tropez.

How has motherhood affected your personal style?
All I care about is comfort, comfort, comfort. My goal is to not look like a hot mess. I admit I need help with it though. Corri- are you listening!?! #helpme
What is your favorite thing about being a mom?
Where do I begin? My heart has expanded beyond comprehension in the last 10 months. I love everything about being mom. It’s such a treat to see my pure, innocent little man growing and learning every day. I’m constantly wondering how I got so lucky to be his mommy. I’m also thrilled that I get to be a kid again! I’m always crawling on the floor, barking like a dog, mooing, dancing, singing, making faces… I’ll do ANYTHING to make my baby laugh. What is better than the sound of a giggling baby!?!? NOTHING.
What’s the hardest thing about being a mom?
The hardest thing is trying to find a balance between motherhood, husband, family, work and time with girlfriends. Not cussing is also becoming difficult!
Has your beauty routine changed at all since you’ve had kids? Also, since you’re a makeup guru can you share your number one tip for moms looking to polish their look with next to no effort?
The only thing that changed about my beauty routine is now I’m a PRO at doing my makeup with a wiggly baby on my lap. Trust me — it’s a skill! I have several tips — don’t make me narrow it down to one! The first is never leave the house without your eyebrows (duh). A bold, colorful lip is one of the easiest ways to look polished, and lastly, water should be your BFF. Hydration is always in style!

What have you learned from your child?
I have learned to live in the present. Time goes by insanely fast and every second with my baby is precious.
Tell us about the Mom’s View!
The Mom’s View is one of the top YouTube channels for moms and women. We have a bi-monthly talk show that I host, where myself and a group of women share our thoughts on everything from motherhood, to diversity to bullying. We have another show called Mommy and Me that focuses on our kids and our favorite products. Recently, we’ve been making funny rap videos (I was dropping it like it was hot 3 weeks post-partum. Holla!). Overall it’s a great online space with content that makes you feel good.
What is your favorite, easy, go-to recipe?
I’m constantly looking for new ways to make healthy versions of my favorite foods. Lately I’ve been into Zucchini Pasta. You can eat it raw or sauté for a few minutes and add a variety of sauces depending on your mood. It’s a light, fresh, healthy dish and it’s perfect for mamas looking to shed some baby weight (aka ME!). My son actually enjoys chewing on zucchini too, so it’s a win-win. Healthy mommy and baby!
