Sarah Teresinski is the owner and designer behind Redeux Kidz, a line that focuses on making pieces from vintage garments to give them a new, fashion forward life. Sarah moved to Chicago from Kansas City, and before that she resided in Nashville, where she got her start in making clothes for kids. After doing that for several years she started out on her own, and Redeux Kidz was born out of the love she had for designing for her daughter, Lennon!

The heart of Sarah’s line is up cycling, which is what makes her garments so unique. She works to use as much of the original piece as possible, and incorporates new material when needed. The finished product is just as stylish as pieces off the rack, but packed with personality. Sarah knows comfort is an important factor as well, so she strives to use the softest fabrics. Zelda is a huge fan of her designs, both for everyday city life and beach getaways! If you weren’t in love with the line already, Sarah gives some of the proceeds back to help less fortunate kids.
When she’s not creating, Sarah is spending time with her crew, husband Mike and their three kids. You go, mama!

Top Beauty Product You Must Have as a Mom: My first must have is Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Hair and Body Moisturizer. I love this stuff because it smells amazing and you can put it everywhere! I also love my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Pencil and my Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator, it’s such a great face brightener mixed with a bronzer! My mom just gave me my new favorite product — Lancôme Teint Idole Ultrawear Makeup Stick, it goes on so light and has built in sunscreen.
Favorite Lipstick Color or Balm: I’m not a huge lipstick girl but I do love my Chanel Rouge Allure Lip Gloss and of course you can’t go wrong with a basic Carmex Lip Balm.
Top 3 Pieces of Baby or Kids Gear: I love my Boba Wrap and my Thule Double Glide 2 Stroller — it’s great for the city! Last but not least I always have a ton of Rosie Pope x Aden + Anais Muslin Blankets on hand. They are great for blankets and burp cloths.
Favorite Art Supplies: Play-Doh by far! We LOVE some Play-Doh in our house! Every color and accessory! We do a fun project for every possible Holiday you can imagine. Halloween is always a fun time to see who can make the BEST monster.
Activity You Love to Do with Your Littles: We love to buy white Vans and custom paint our shoes with 3D puffy paint. We’re big fans of trips to the bookstore and we love Lincoln Park Zoo! It is located a few blocks from our house and the kids love it, especially at Christmas time!
Your Secret Obsession When You Get an Hour to Yourself: If I have a free moment I would say one of my favorite things to do is get a deep tissue massage. Going to Target alone is heaven and I hate to admit it, so don’t judge me but, I’m a sucker for Don’t be Tardy for the Party!
Closet Staple You Can’t Live Without: I can’t live without the classics! I love a crisp navy blazer and a long cashmere scarf. I’m also a straight leg Levi Jeans girl and love them paired with Converse or Stan Smiths. My new favorite bag is from Nena and Co. and I can’t live without the Vintage Day Bag! It’s such a cool company, all of the bags are one of a kind and it’s perfect for all my stuff (and my three kid’s stuff) and I still look stylish carrying it!
Favorite recipe to make for your littles: My version of the best, most yummy, healthy, kid-friendly Jalapeño Poppers EVER!!! Click here to get the recipe.
