Adler Planetarium:  Adler Planetarium has enough little activities going on to keep your babe busy on any given day! And if it’s relief from the heat you’re looking for, go check out one of their “Summer of Science” days. The next one is coming up Saturday, August 8th, and is focused on putting space into perspective. It’s the perfect place to let your babe ask all those tough to answer questions!If you love this late summer heat, check out “Planets on the Path”. You can go on a beautiful walk with your babes along the waterfront, and see models of our planetary neighbors (both near and far!). You get some fresh air, and the kids don’t even realize they’re taking in some science, it’s a win-win!

Chicago Air and Water Show: This is the perfect reason to hit the beach! Specifically you’ll want to stay in the stretch of beach from Oak to Fullerton, but this show only happens one time a year so it’s worth the crowds. Just be prepared to hear your kids talk about how amazing the stunts were for days!

Picnic in the Park: Grab a blanket and a basket full of your little’s favorites, and head to your go-to park (or venture out and pick a new one!) for some fresh air and quality time with your babe! Why not take a frisbee or throw the ball around for a bit while you’re there?!

Parent & Toddler Yoga at the Zoo: Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings while working out during these outdoor yoga classes on the Nature Boardwalk! Toddlers have the opportunity to learn fun animal yoga poses and then see the animals they were inspired by. Once yoga in finished, littles can enjoy a guided nature exploration and storybook time.

Kid’s Night Out at The Paintbrush: Bring your littles to kid’s night out where they will watch a movie, create awesome art, and have tons of fun! This ages 4 to 12 event is way more fun that keeping your kiddos at home with a sitter.

Little Goat Diner: This is the perfect place for the whole family to eat (especially for breakfast)! Parents can enjoy elevated bites in a beautiful and kid-friendly space while littles indulge in things like dark chocolate chip crunch pancakes and fat Elvis waffles.
