New City Block Party & Kids Club Kick-Off: Go check out New City’s Block Party and Kids Club Kick-Off on Saturday! Swing by this new shopping center between 1pm and 5pm to take in music, games and more. Kids under 10 years old can sign up to join Kids Club for monthly events throughout the year.
Cinderella: Fans of this classic tale will love seeing it play out in front of them live at The Joffrey Ballet! Not only is the dancing magical, but the beautiful costumes will make this something your babes cannot stop talking about! Happening this Saturday and Sunday, you’ll have a few chances to work it into your busy schedule. Saturday’s showing is at 2pm and Sunday you can check it out at 2pm or later in the evening at 7:30pm.
Foodie Adventure Series: Roasted Asparagus Lasagna is the focus of this kid friendly culinary spot’s weekly series. Great for babes 7-10 years old, from 12pm-1pm this Saturday, the 21st, your little chef can learn to cook this yummy dish! The class is $25.00 for non-members and $22.50 if you’re a member of The Kids’ Table.
Kids Day at Mayfest: It’s officially festival season! This weekend is Mayfest, which actually goes from Friday to Sunday. However, if you have littles you should make sure you head over on Saturday between 10am and 2pm because that’s when Chicago Kids Day will be happening! There will be food, games and raffles geared towards the babes, you don’t want to miss this! Admission is $10.00 per person and you can enter at 3100 N. Ashland.
Tea with the Turtles: If you haven’t taken your little to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum yet, it’s time! Saturday is World Turtle Day and the museum is celebrating by putting on Tea With The Turtles from 11am-1pm. Kids can view the turtles and do some fun activities while learning about them. Tickets for kids are $10.00.
Seedfolks: This one woman show is good for the older crowd, ages 7 and up. Seedfolks features 14 characters all played by one woman, and takes us through her journey to start a community garden. Showings are on Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 11am at the Chicago Children’s Theater.

Free Crafts for Kids: Twist & Twirl Spinner: Each Saturday Lakeshore Learning offers crafts for the kiddos at no charge, how amazing is that?! This weekend they’ll learn how to make a “Twist & Twirl Spinner”, so stop by between 11am and 3pm for the fun! This activity is geared towards kids 3 and up.
Pirate Days: The little pirate in your life will flip over this! The Maritime Museum of San Diego is hosting Pirate Days on both Saturday and Sunday, and both days are packed with fun! Think costume contests, demonstrations, performances and of course, food. Kids under age 12 are $9.
