With spring in full swing, there’s no doubt your babe’s social calendar is filling up. This weekend is packed with some seriously sweet events that you and your kiddos will enjoy, both indoors and out. If you’re an NYC reader or just heading out there for a long weekend, we found some great things happening in the Big Apple too!

Live Animal Feeding: If you little is an animal lover, they are in luck. There are two animal events this weekend! The first is on Sunday, May 15th at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum from 1-1:15pm. Kids can watch the turtles get their lunch. When you’re done with the turtles take a look around the rest of the museum, it’s pretty awesome!
Green City Market: Lincoln Park’s Green City Market kicked off last weekend, so if you didn’t get there last week definitely go take a look tomorrow, it’s open from 7am-1pm! Your babes will love checking out all the different vendors and watching chefs do their thing at the live demos, which change weekly.
School House Rock LIVE!: This Saturday, at 1pm an old school favorite comes to life! Great for kids across a wide age range, you and your kids will love singing along to these classics during the performance and well after.
Family Day: If you’ve explored every corner of the Art Institute and your little artist still wants more, check out the Museum of Contemporary Art. Family Day is the perfect opportunity to head over and explore, and families with kids under 12 get in for FREE! This Saturday, from 11am-3pm will feature musical performances, an outer space focused activity and so much more.
Little Buddhas: For the slightly older set (3-8 years) let them give yoga a try at Zen Yoga Garage on Saturday from 11-11:45am! They’re in no way short of energy, so let them work some of it out in this class.
Meet an Animal: Our second animal activity is at the Lincoln Park Zoo, another magical place for kids. Every day at 11am they give a closer look at one of the animals in the habitat that houses our scaly reptile friends and also small mammals, just the right size for inquiring minds.
Whether you live in the Big Apple or are just visiting, you’re in luck! Not only do they have some awesome stuff going on this weekend, but the weather is going to be beautiful.
Kids Spring Fling: Your little art lover will flip over this! This Saturday event features a variety of mediums including dance, film and story telling, so no matter what their interest they will find something they’re into. The best part? It’s FREE!
International Food Festival: Foodies big and small will love this FREE weekend long event, it’s packed with a variety of vendors and the perfect opportunity to find new favorites and expand those taste buds.
