February is prime inside activity time! That doesn’t mean your littles have to stay holed up in the house though. There’s a ton of fun stuff going on around Chicago for all your little babes’ interests, and there’s even a great Valentine’s Day activity for the mamas out there who like to plan ahead!

Mardi Gras Masquerade Samba Dance Party at Duet Dance Studio

Let your little flex those creative muscles at this Masquerade Dance Party! Taking place two days before Mardi Gras, your babe can decorate their own mask, and then get an intro to Samba! This is perfect for kids between 5 to 12 years old.

After School Cooking Class at Whole Foods Market Lincoln Park

For the little foodie, Whole Foods is like a wonderland! They offer a variety of after school cooking classes (and a few on days when school isn’t in session), but I’m really loving this one that teaches them how to make a veggie and cheese omelet!

Mars-di Gras at Adler Planetarium

Another fun Mardi Gras activity, with an out of this world twist! Adler Planetarium is hosting a slew of activities the Saturday before, complete with photo ops, live music, robots and helmet decorating!

Share Your He(art) at Monica & Andy

Not only is Monica & Andy like a dreamland, but they have awesome events too! The day before Valentine’s Day they are hosting a craft event benefitting The Little Giraffe Foundation, so your babe will get to give back while having some fun! They’ll also have some treats and a photo booth!

Family Day: (Extra)ordinary at the Museum of Contemporary Art

Let the kids explore some of the awesome exhibits that the Museum of Contemporary art has to offer, it’s guaranteed fun and perfect for these chilly winter days!

Make A Toy For A Shelter Pet at the Children’s Museum

There are so many pets waiting to be adopted, and if your babe has a soft spot for furry friends, this activity is perfect. Take your little one to the Chicago Children’s Museum where they can craft a toy (made with so much love!) for a pet that is awaiting a home. Toys are given to the Anti-Cruelty Society right here in Chicago.
