I don’t know about you, but me and my little are itching to get out in the city and explore all it has to offer! It’s no secret that Chicago is a great city for culture, and a great place to have fun with kids. Check out my picks for fun things to do together, and guess what? You can do them this week! So what are you waiting for, get out there!
Little-Activities
The Art Institute: It’s never to early to let your little start flexing those creative muscles. The Art Institute is a great venue for that, and what I love even more is their Artist’s Studio, where your babe can get hands on and learn. Check out the Family Room when you get there to see exactly what’s in store for that day.
Maggie Daley Park: I recently went to Maggie Daley Park for the first time, and I was blown away. It’s such a great park, it’s perfect for all ages, adults included! I can’t wait to go back, and I know Zelda is looking forward to our next visit too!
Wishbone: If you’re looking for a new restaurant to check out (or maybe this is an old favorite!), go visit Wishbone! They serve delicious Southern inspired dishes, and Tuesdays are Family Night! That means that kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree, and vintage cartoons are playing on the big screen!
Mission Moon: If your little is obsessed with all things space and is constantly converting your living room into a mission to the moon, take them to this new exhibit! It goes through the journey of what it took to get a man on the moon, and stories from those who where involved. Not only is this museum a treasure, but you’ll love the gorgeous building that houses it.
Family Yoga Classes: This all ages class is a great way to introduce yoga to your little ones. It works in a variety of activities, such as relaxation, storytime, games and breathing.
Crown Family Play Lab: Let your babe get hands on when you visit the Field Museum, this fun spot brings in a variety of entertainment, from musicians to storytellers.
