Kerry June Davis went from Southern California to Madrid, Spain and back, all while having two littles…and she looked incredibly cool doing it!   Through her travels, this Rad Mom developed an eye for beautiful textiles and has a small eclectic shop called The Busy Burro, where she sells one-of-a-kind, handmade items from Morocco. In addition to maintaining this unique business, she also writes a blog all about motherhood, traveling, and her hobbies. Her honest voice adds a totally new side to what motherhood is really like– no fluff or sugar coating!

Kerry also just welcomed baby Milo in March of this year– such a huge congrats to her and her family! When she’s not writing, you can find this Rad Mom in Southern California with a camera around her neck, outside with her family, or down at the beach!

Top Beauty Product You Must Have as a Mom: Coconut Oil! I use it for absolutely everything. I use coconut oil to hydrate my hair, as a lotion (especially when I’m pregnant!), makeup remover, diaper rash and I mix it with any essential oils I put on my son. It can be used for practically everything. I’m also a big believer in a good mascara, I feel like it can make you look instantly put together, my favorite is Benefit’s Bad Gal Lash.
Favorite Lipstick Color or Chapstick: My all time favorite chapstick is Burt’s Bees in the coconut flavor, it smells so good! Recently I discovered MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencils and I am completely obsessed. My favorite, everyday, go-to color is called spontaneous. I love these lip pencils because they go on lightly with sheen but you can deepen the color with a few more layers, so they are totally versatile and moisturizing.
Top 3 Pieces Of Baby Gear: 1. My Wildbird sling went everywhere with me for the first two years of motherhood. It is such an easy & comfortable way to carry your children, plus it is machine washable & you can easily fit it in a diaper bag. 2. I truly never leave the house without an Aden and Anais Blanket. When my son was younger the blankets gave him a lot of comfort and would sooth him almost instantly, and now that he’s 2.5 the second he gets one in his stroller or car seat he instantly falls asleep.
3. A good stroller! We have the Phil & Teds Dot Stroller a swell as a City Mini by Baby Jogger and I love them both so much for different reasons. While the Phil & Ted Stroller is one of their narrower strollers, it can still fit a lot in the undercarriage & can work for two children which is a definite plus, especially with our second. The City Mini is ideal for crowded places and for traveling. We travel quite a bit and having this stroller definitely made it easier because it is so light weight, easy to fold and still has plenty of room.
Favorite Kids Clothing Brand: Zara has an amazing selection of kids clothes for really great prices. I also really like Peek clothing and Vans for shoes.
Activity You Love to Do With Your Littles: Anything outside! We love to go on hikes through the hills, camping and to the beach. I love being outside and letting my son run around and explore to get his wiggles out.
Your Secret Obsession When You Get an Hour to Yourself: I have a few different guilty pleasures for when I have a moment of “me” time. I go between catching up on any TV shows I may have missed while painting my nails, doing yoga or reading. Nothing too exciting, but they all relax me and are harder to do with littles running around!
Closet Staple That You Can’t Live Without: I couldn’t live without a plain white or black comfy tee, like Alexander Wang’s T-shirts, and my leather jacket that I have had since I was 18 and it is still my go-to jacket.
Favorite Snack or Dessert Recipe to Make for Your Littles: I love acai bowls and so does my son, but they can be difficult and messy for him to eat, so I make him acai smoothies for breakfast as a snack. These are an easy way for me to know that he’s getting plenty of fruits and having something healthy to start the day. Click here to get the recipe.
