As usual, Chicago’s weekend agenda doesn’t disappoint, so get out there and explore these kids’ activities — your babes will thank you! This week we’re also spotlighting Milwaukee, a quick drive north if you’re looking to head out of town for a weekend getaway.

BenFest at St. Benedict Parish:  This family friendly festival is going on the whole weekend, beginning today! There’s a ton of fun stuff no matter what age your babes are, and this is a fantastic way to get outside and burn off some of that energy. The fest takes place from July 15th through the 17thclick here for times and admission prices.

Movies in the Park at Jonquil Park: Close the weekend out right with a movie in the park. This edition of Movies in the Park is Jurassic Park, and we mean the classic one from the early 90’s! The fun kicks off at 8:15pm on Sunday, July 17th at 1001 West Wrightwood Avenue. Don’t forget the blanket and snacks!

Kids Eat Free at Nana: This environmentally conscious restaurant allows kids (under 10) to eat for free today, Friday, July 15th between 5pm and 7pm. This special takes place weekly on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, so if you can’t make it today put it on your list for next week. Nana is located at 3267 S. Halsted Street.

Brick by Brick with LEGOS at the Museum of Science and Industry: The little LEGO lover in your crew will flip over this! They’ve reconstructed famous structures from around the world using everyone’s favorite tiny bricks, and the result is insane. This is a must see! This exhibit does require a special ticket in addition to the museum entry fee, get the details here.

Run the Bases at Wrigley Field: This one is for little baseball lovers! If you’re going to the game this Sunday, July 17th and your kid is one of the first 1,000 to enter, they receive a wristband that allows them to run the bases after the game is over, weather permitting. Note that this is open to kids under the age of 13. The game starts at 1:20pm, get info on tickets here.

Snow White and the Missing Dwarfs at Stomp and Shout Theater: At one time or another your little might have asked what happened to Snow White after the story ended, and this North Side theater is sharing! Get answers on Saturday, July 16th at 10:30am. Admission is $12 for one adult and child.
