How many children do you have? What inspired their names?
I have an almost 2 year old named Zelda. I remember reading F. Scott Fitzgerald in school and learning about his life and that time period and was enamored with the glamour of that era and the name “Zelda” from very early on. It projects strength and also happens to mean blessed and happy, which felt fitting.

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family?
We love going to the farmer’s market – there are so many discoveries and Zelda is a glutton for free samples!

Are their any children’s brands you find yourself buying over and over again?
Egg, Tea, Peek, Gap, & Zara!

How has motherhood affected your personal style?
Hate to admit it, but accessories have gone by the wayside. Most working moms can attest to mornings being chaotic, so if I get out the door with lipstick on, it is a triumph! In lieu of finding the perfect necklace to accent my look, I now tend to favor more personal everyday jewelry. I think I’ve also finally stopped buying silk blouses – too easy to stain with a kiddo in tow.

What is your favorite thing about being a mom?
The sheer joy! No matter what has happened at the office, I come home and everyday stresses melt away when I see that face. The unconditional love is reciprocal and fills you up in a way that you could never imagine.

What’s the hardest thing about being a mom?
Balance. Patience. Time for yourself. All struggles, but all are undoubtedly worth it.

Has your beauty routine changed at all since you’ve had kids?
Yes! I spent a fun hour at Violet Grey recently and bought some staples to perk up my skin – when you have dewy, glowy skin, you can’t look tired, right? I’ve also learned to never underestimate the power of a bold coral lip. It can make up for a sleepless night in a heartbeat.

What have you learned from your kids?
To laugh and love freely.

What is your favorite, easy, go-to recipe that your kid(s) love?
Zelda is actually a great eater (for now) so she really eats whatever we’re having – which as a self-proclaimed foodie, makes my heart swell. That said, we always have the Edamame Salsa from Weelicious on deck.
