I’m not a huge drinker but do enjoy a spicy margarita from time to time. Since St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner (and because it’s not socially acceptable to drink margaritas in the morning), I created my own version of a Spicy Green Bloody Mary. To help soak up some of the alcohol, I went heavy on the garnishes. I topped mine with bacon, pickles, a huge cube of white cheddar, an olive, a piece of shrimp, a sport pepper and a slice of jalapeno (to really pack a punch). The spicier the better! What’s your go-to cocktail? Tell me in the comments below!

I’m not a huge drinker but do enjoy a spicy margarita from time to time. Since St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner (and because it’s not socially acceptable to drink margaritas in the morning), I created my own version of a Spicy Green Bloody Mary.
- 2 Green Tomatoes
- 2 Tomatillos
- 1 Tablespoon Horseradish
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
- ½ Cucumber
- ¼ Cup Vodka
- ½ Jalapeno, Sliced
- 2 Pieces Bacon, Cooked
- 1 Dill Pickle
- 1 Piece of Shrimp, Cooked
- 1 Green Olive
- 1 Sport Pepper
- 1 Cube White Cheddar Cheese
- Roughly chop the tomatoes and slice the jalapenos; remove the seeds from both and place in a blender or food processor.
- Roughly chop the tomatillos and slice the cucumber. Add both to the food processor along with the Worcestershire and lime juice. Pulse to combine.
- Once combined, stir in the vodka and horseradish.
- Place the white cheddar cube, one sport pepper, an olive, one piece of shrimp and a jalapeno slice on a long skewer.
- Pour the Bloody Mary into a tall glass and top with the garnished toothpick. Place two slices of bacon and a dill pickle inside the drink.
- Enjoy a Green Bloody Mary on St. Patrick’s Day!
