I love a good red carpet recap! Last night’s Grammy Awards had something for everyone, from killer performances to an almost Kanye moment, and of course, the clothes! Take a look at my picks for the best and worst dressed for the night.
Grammys_GwenStefani
Two things I love, Gwen and a good jumpsuit! Gwen chose black, which is an understated choice for her, but it was a good one because of the amazing detail the jumpsuit has on the bodice. Coupled with a slick updo and some classic pumps, this is a winner!
Grammys_NicoleKidman
Nicole stuck to the basics, but she did a great job rocking them! She put a twist on the little black dress by picking out a sick one by Thierry Mugler, complete with grommet detailing to add something unexpected. Her strappy black pumps and long bob were the perfect finishing touches.
Grammys_SIA
Someone always brings out the menswear trend onto the red carpet, and I LOVE that it was these two! Their capes were fabulous, and the matching hair was perfection.
Grammys_JenniferHudson
I love the minimalism of this look. Everything is so delicate and feminine, and Jennifer looks absolutely gorgeous! I’m also loving the unexpected pop of color on her lip. It would have been safe to go with a red or a pink, but she went for a purple hue and killed it!
Grammys_Gaga
In years past, Lady Gaga has always made quite the entrance (remember the egg?!). This year she opted to tone things down a bit, and showed us that she’s got more up her sleeve than just theatrics! In a slinky silver Brandon Maxwell gown, she successfully channeled screen sirens from ages ago. Nicely done!
Grammys_Rihanna
I just don’t know what to say about this. It’s probably the last thing anyone would ever expect her to wear to the Grammy Awards, which may have factored into why she chose it. But still, why?!
Grammys_KimKardashian
Oh Kim. I wish she would have picked something that hadn’t taken away from her cute new haircut! Instead all I see is a sparkly, gold bathrobe.
Grammys_Madonna
Yes Madonna, we know you look great, but that doesn’t mean you have to show us EVERYTHING.
