When it comes to getting pregnant, every woman struggles with the idea of gaining weight. If they tell you otherwise, they are lying! For me it was a weekly struggle, my wardrobe was quickly shrinking and my body was rapidly expanding. I would just keep telling myself “You are growing a human!” every time I would tear up as I moved another favorite to the back of the closet. I saw myself gaining weight in places I never had before.
Then the day comes when your baby becomes “real”. You feel a kick and everything starts to fall into perspective. Who cares if 34 pairs of pants don’t fit me and if I have been wearing the same maxi dress all week?! I didn’t, because you have to remember that you are creating a miracle. One of the biggest lessons I learned was just to embrace the weight and try to look the best I could each and every day.
However, when that baby arrives, it’s time to get serious about getting back into those 34 pairs of pants! I wasn’t able to breastfeed, so that weight “melting” off wasn’t something I got to experience. I’m getting ready to start my weight loss journey with Alex from A Mind and Body Total Fitness, and I’m ready! It’s time for this mama to get back in shape!

[…] CM: Post baby weight loss. Unfortunately breast feeding didn’t work for me, so the weight “melting” off didn’t happen for me, but making funfetti cakes and roasting marshmallows on the stovetop did. I’ve started my diet and exercise plan, so I’m working to lose the baby weight. You can checkout my diet plan here. […]
