Lunchables should always be three things: delicious, easy to put together and fun to eat! Store bought lunchables are full of preservatives, packed with sodium and most contain a full day’s worth of saturated fat – no thanks. Making a homemade lunchable is so easy and allows you to have way more control of what your little one is consuming. I took a few of Zelda’s favorite foods and used cupcake liners to separate them in her lunch box. It was very easy to transport to the park and would make such a fun lunch for back to school. I made sure she is eating fruits and veggies but included a few special elements too (think mini Reese’s Cups and star shaped cheese). Your options are endless! Make Yours Look Like Ours
- 7-8 Mini Reese's Peanut Cups
- 4 Cherry Tomatoes
- 3 Basil Leaves
- 4 Pearls Mozzarella Cheese
- 7-8 Raspberries
- 1/4 Cup Veggie Sticks
- 5-6 Slices Cheddar Cheese
- 5-6 Round Butter Crackers
- 5-6 Cucumber Slices
- 1 Hot Dog, Sliced
- Cut the cherry tomatoes and mozzarella pearls in half; tear the basil into small pieces.
- 2. Slide half of a cherry tomato onto a toothpick, followed by a piece of basil and half a mozzarella pearl. Repeat this until you have three or four full toothpicks.
- Cut the cheddar cheese slices into stars using a cookie cutter.
- Cook a hot dog and cut into slices.
- Place each item into cupcake liners inside of your child's lunchbox.
- Send them to school happy and excited for lunch!
