We can totally appreciate a Chicago mama who likes to keep things simple in the kitchen. With a little who loves Guacamole, Emily Hard has her go-to guac recipe down to just 5 ingredients and you basically just combine them in a bowl and mash. Pretty easy, right?!




prep time: 10 minutes yields 4-6 servings


  • 4 Large Avocados
  • 1/4 Cup Minced Fresh Cilantro
  • 4 Cloves Garlic, Minced (less if you don’t like as much garlic!)
  • 1 Lime
  • Salt & Pepper


1. Remove the skin and pits from 4 large avocados and cut into cubes.
2. Next, add the avocados, cilantro, minced garlic and fresh squeezed lime juice into a bowl and mash together.
3. Season with salt and pepper and serve with crackers or chips!
