Sometimes cold cereal just doesn’t cut it, especially when I’m craving something warm. Apple Butter Cereal warms me right up, and is a healthier way to satisfy any sugar cravings I might be having. To make it you need crunchy flax cereal, 1 cup skim milk, brown sugar, chopped walnuts, and apple butter.
Begin by bringing the skim milk to a simmer over medium heat. Next, reduce heat and add in the crunchy flax cereal; stir until the mixture has thickened. Remove from the heat and top with brown sugar, chopped walnuts, and apple butter to taste. Enjoy this heart-healthy breakfast!
