You know when you have a beauty secret or a hack that’s so good you just have to share with other women because you feel you’d be doing them a disservice if you didn’t? Well, that’s what today’s post is all about. That’s right, I’m spilling the beans on my favorite makeup artist (who you’ve probably already seen me tout on Instagram) and all the products she uses to capture my favorite makeup look.
Her name is Ashlee Glazer, and she is seriously a makeup artist sent from above. Not only is she a regular on shows such as Wendy Williams, Good Morning America and QVC, but she is also trusted to do makeup on a regular basis for Rachel Zoe, Christy Turlington, Georgina Chapman and Zanna Rassi. Like, what?!
She has been doing my makeup for the last seven years any time I’m in New York. And nobody, I repeat, nobody does my makeup like Ashlee. Sometimes I honestly think about flying to NYC so I can be done up by her. Honestly, I’ve had her do makeup when I’m in the city even if I have no special event to go to. I just want to watch her work and get the amazing feeling I have every time she does my makeup. She’s simply amazing and is a true artist.
The last time I was able to get my makeup done by Ashlee was for New York Fashion Week a few months ago and she killed it, per usual. But since I had Zelda with me and mom brain was running rampant, I unfortunately only snagged one selfie of the final look. I hope you can see by looking at the photo, though, that this is clearly the best version of my face, haha! Like, the girl knows her business.
So, per the request of you guys and to try and share the makeup and beauty love, I asked Ashlee if she could put together her list of must-haves to get this look. The list below is what she sent over as her core products for each area (face, lips, eyes, etc.). Now, I don’t necessarily recommend going out and buying all of this at once because it would be really expensive. Instead, use up what you have and start making gradual swaps as you go. Doing it this way will make it feel much more approachable and affordable.
