With all of the SS16 Fashion Week activity over the past month my brain has been completely focused on spring runway trends! Now that everything is winding down, I’m trying to put my attention back on what was on the runways for autumn. From beautifully embellished pieces to textures you don’t normally see, I’m giving you a a reminder of what you should be wearing right now. What is your favorite fall ’15 trend?
Orange is most definitely the new black. Well, technically black is the go-to color for fall 2015, but orange is giving it some friendly competition. The color was spotted everywhere during NYFW, and while marsala may be Pantone’s color of the year, orange is definitely having a moment.
It’s no surprise that fur was all over the runway, and looking luxurious as always. For fall furs the message is clear – the bigger the better.
Designers are going crazy for embellishments this season. From tiny mirrors to giant flowers, this trend is definitely the new way to add a punch to your wardrobe. Plus, it transitions effortlessly from day to night.
Lace has always been a favorite for spring and summer, but no one said it can’t work for fall too. This season Diane von Furstenberg, Altuzarra, and many more sent a clear message down the runway – lace is the new texture for fall.
