April showers bring stellar sleep, awesome pearl jeans and the best gluten-free menu in the city. I’m dishing on why you shouldn’t spend $300 on denim, how to get rid of sun spots and more. What are you crushing on this month? Tell me in the comments below.
Denim from Zara, a Gluten-Free menu and more on what I'm crushing on in April!
COS Bar x This Works Sleep Diffuser & Pillow Spray: My sleep schedule hasn’t been so great. I have been exploring different sleep remedies in search of a taste of the beautifully peaceful sleep I used to get when I was eighteen years old. Lucky for me, I started testing the COS Bar x This Works Choose Sleep Kit and it worked like charm. The deep sleep pillow spray is so dreamy and the portable diffuser has been a game changer! As a bonus, my house now smells like the most tranquil boutique hotel spa and I didn’t even have to burn through a $70 candle.
The Little Beet Table: If you live in Chicago you have to visit The Little Beet Table. It doesn’t matter if it is for brunch, lunch or dinner, it’s all delicious. The environment is relaxed and features a vegetable forward menu, but don’t worry — beef, chicken and fish are all available. If you have dietary restrictions you’ll be especially happy to hear their entire menu is gluten free. My top must try items are the Hamachi crudo, the crispy pearl rice (make sure to add the farm egg) and the Chipotle pork carnitas tacos. Honestly, you can order anything and you won’t be disappointed.
Pearl Jeans from Zara: This season is all about denim! With that, denim got a little bit of an ego and its prices surged. I recently went to buy a pair of basic spring jeans and almost fell over when I read the price tag said $300! Leave it to Zara to save people like myself (I’m sure you’ve had your moments where you’ve blacked out and bought everything too). They turned it up this season in the denim department. There are so many statement jeans and I’m totally in love with a pair of pearl embellished jeans I purchased (for only $69!). These jeans are the perfect spring piece and can be dressed up at night and down during the day (so cliché I know, but it’s true). I highly recommend picking up a pair!
Glytone Sunvanish: If the sun has ever washed over your skin, chances are that you have a sun spot or two. The good news is that you can probably get rid of them. I had no idea it was so easy until I visited Pinsky Dermatology and they set me up on a preventative plan. After expressing I had a sun spot that was bothering me, they told me to apply Glytone once daily and wait for the results. After three weeks of use, I’ve noticed my spot is significantly lighter and the Glytone works. If sun spots are a source of frustration you need this in your life!
FabKids Swimwear: FabKids just launched their first swimwear collection and it is adorable. Each piece is under $30 and is ready and waiting for you to stock up for spring break. They have one and two pieces, accessories, rash guards and board shorts, for both girls and boys. You’ll pretty much be covered for the entire summer. Check it out, the styles are so good — I just wish they had matching suits for mom.
