With the start of the spring 2014 couture shows on Sunday it’s been hard to concentrate on anything else. Luckily I’m able to get a live feed of the shows at Style.com. If you haven’t had time to keep up with what is on the runway I’ve got you covered!
Donatella Versace killed it at her couture show. Staying true to herself and her muse of the collection, Grace Kelly, the runway was a sea of hooded models, corset bodices, fur, and sparkle embellishments. My favorite piece from the show was definitely the royal purple fur coat, swoon.
One thing can be said of the Schiaparelli show, it wasn’t boring. This collection showed us how to rock a print and a killer headpiece, at the same time.
Dior is the new king of cut outs and white, lots of white. His collection was not short on texture. However, the overall palette of the show was a bit bland.
Giambattista Valli was a beautiful explosion of color. His super feminine silhouettes were stunning. He had so many gorgeous ball gowns I cannot even begin to choose a favorite.
