These Cotton Candy Cloud Cookies are Zelda approved (I know because after I made them, I couldn’t stop eating them)! As aesthetically pleasing as they are delicious, these are perfect for a birthday, shower, gender reveal, or even a party of one sitting on the couch. To make these you will need a cloud cookie cutter (I picked mine up on Etsy here), decorative icing in a squeeze tube, cotton candy, flour, and ready to bake sugar cookies (if you have the time and patience to make your own dough, you go girl!). Once you have everything together, set the oven to 375 (or as directed on the package of sugar cookies). Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it to the side. On a lightly floured surface roll the dough together (I used approximately 5 balls from the package) and flatten with your palm. Press the cookie cutter into the dough. Repeat this process until the dough is gone. Place the cloud shaped cookies on the baking sheet. Bake in the oven for approximately 10-12 minutes. Be sure to bake them on the softer side. When done baking, remove them from the oven. The cookies will have lost some of there cloud shape. Allow them to semi cool for 1-2 minutes. Using a spatula, place the cookies on a flat surface and re-press them with the cookie cutter. This will allow them to regain their cloud like shape! Once the cookies have been re-cut, use the icing tube to place 5 small dots (about the size of a pea) onto each cookie. This will act as an adhesive for the cotton candy. Take the cotton candy and attach it to each cookie, molding the sites to keep their cloud like shape. Repeat this process on each cookie and serve, enjoy these amazing treats!
