Even though it’s April, that doesn’t mean that Chicago is quite out of winter’s grasp yet! On our way to brunch this particular morning, we were not so pleasantly surprised to see that there was ice on the ground, making our quick stop for photos interesting. Another offbeat part of that particular morning’s shoot was that we were right around the corner from the Fulton Vortex, which is supposedly an area where there’s a concentration of energy. Zelda started to venture down that way but it wasn’t in the cards for us, thanks to the icy conditions. Next time!
Clad head to toe in Kenzo Kids, Zelda was a trooper and cooperated just enough for us to get a few shots in front of this beautiful blue wall (totally reminded me of the ocean in Greece!). Zelda’s outfit is from Childsplay Clothing, who if you aren’t already familiar with it’s time to get them on your radar. Their selection of designer kids clothes is absolutely insane, think Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Moschino to name a few. This may be her first outfit from there, but I have a feeling it won’t be her last! Zelda’s coat is from Lola & The Boys, and she digs it as much as I do!
For myself, a pop of red was needed to brighten up this icy day and this shift dress was the answer. Tights and flat booties to navigate the arctic terrain helped make this spring staple wearable on this chilly Chicago day.
