There’s a certain level of cool that mamas from California exude, and Celeste Wright is no exception. Before joining the Itzy Ritzy team as a Social Media Assistant, Celeste was a busy stay at home mom who ran a successful Etsy shop. These days, in addition to being a social media whiz, she also manages to find time to document her adventures with husband Jake and adorable daughter Lila on her blog, Oh Hello Celeste.

Shortly after her daughter was born Celeste came to the realization that as much as they loved living in Silverlake, she could tell that it wasn’t a good fit for their growing family. So, they made the short jump to Pasadena and they love it! Celeste lovingly describes it as, “close enough to the city that you get all the pros without all the cons.” Sounds pretty idyllic to us!
Little’s Name & Age: Lila, 20 months old.
Tell Us About Raising Kids in Los Angeles: Until my daughter was a month old we lived in Silverlake. As much as I loved it and couldn’t bear to leave, I knew I wouldn’t be happy raising a child there. We decided to move to the Pasadena area and have loved it here. It’s close enough to the city that you get all the pros: museums, restaurants, the zoo, parks and shopping; without all the cons: sidewalks are bumpy, the parking is tough, and the nearest Target is a 20 minute drive if you’re lucky.
Give Us a Glimpse Into an Average Day: An average day for us at home looks like this:
8:00-8:30am Wake Up
8:30-9:30am Breakfast for Lila (yogurt and fruit) while she watches Elmo or Sofia the First. During this hour I am more productive with work than I am for the remainder of the day.
9:30-10:30am I do circuits of walking/jogging/sprinting with Lila in the jogger
10:30-11:30am Lunchtime. We will either stop by the market on our jog or get fresh fish or chicken, if not we keep a well-stocked fridge of choices.
11:30-12:30pm I give Lila an after lunch bath and get her into jammies.
12:30 – 3:30pm Lila takes a nap while I do computer work.
3:30 – 4:30pm An afternoon walk and outdoor play.
4:30 – 6:30pm Dinnertime. I make dinner while Lila plays with her toys and a show plays, then we eat dinner together.
6:30 – 7:30pm Playtime in Lila’s room.
7:30 – 8:30pm I give Lila a bath, put her in jammies and get her to sleep for the night.
8:30 – 10:00pm During this time I catch up on any work I wasn’t able to get done during nap time and my husband gets home from work. Once he gets home we have our nightly “Netflix & Snacks” and catch each other up on our days.
