Ring in 2016 with some activities you and your babes will love! Whether you want to get out and make some noise with your littles on NYE, or start the New Year off right with some great food – these events are all Zelda approved!
Noon Year’s Eve at the Children’s Museum: Kids get to do all the fun stuff that comes with ringing in the New Year, well before their bedtime! You don’t want them to miss out and they shouldn’t have to, so let them get it all out of their system before lunch!
December 31st from 11:15am-12:15pm, $14
Zoo Years Eve at the Brookfield Zoo: This is another great event to let your babes get in on the New Years fun, just a little early! 8p is when this countdown takes place and leading up to it there’s plenty of things to keep your babes busy! Think crafts and music, and plenty of adorable photo opps!
Free with zoo admission (hint: it’s cheaper to buy tickets online!)
New Year’s Day Pajama Brunch at Stella Barra: Once you’ve rang in the New Year, start it off right with some great food! Stella Barra has a great brunch, and the best part? It’s a giant pajama party!
Friday, January 1st
Navy Pier Winter Wonderfest: The name here says it all! You might need to give your kids a minute when you get there, because this place has it all! Ice skating, a Ferris wheel (!), and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
Prices range from $9-23
American Girl Girl of the Year Debut: You won’t be ringing in the New Year at this event, but your little might think this is better! If you’ve got a babe who’s an American Girl fanatic, this is their cup of tea. Each year American Girl introduces a new addition to the family! Celebrate with them at their store! There’s plenty to keep your babe busy, and she can bring along her doll for the fun too!
FREE January 1st from 9am-1pm
S’mores & Movies: Pop some popcorn, make some s’mores (bake or no bake, your choice!) snuggle up on the couch and let the marathon begin! I like this one because it doesn’t involve going out into the cold!
