We’ve been seeing the athletic trend in both street style and the runway for a little while now, but it’s not the easiest to pull off. That’s why I wanted to break it down for you, and show you a few different ways you can rock it!
casual-track-pant-street-styleThe goal here is to keep things casual, but polished. You know the look you’re going for when you wear a tee, jeans and heels to a dinner? We’re going for a variation of that here. While your choice of tee should be casual, you want to be careful to select one that doesn’t make it look like you’re going to the gym.
As the temperatures drop, you can layer on a sweater, or even your favorite leather jacket to add another element to your look. When all else fails, start layering on some delicate necklaces, this will keep things pretty and polished. When selecting a shoe for this look, you don’t need a full on heel, but a little bit of lift will help keep things looking current.

A great fur paired with a track pant is the perfect unexpected look. If you want to try this out, just go for a solid colored track pant, anything more will distract from your look.
If fur isn’t your thing or you just want something a bit simpler, try pairing the pant back with a bold tee, or an unexpected clutch. Remember, you don’t want both your top and your bottom to compete, let one be the statement, and the other complement it.

Who would have thought that you would be reaching for your favorite leather skirt and your Nikes for the same ensemble?! It’s happening, and I’m loving it! Keep in mind that if your outfit is bold, that you will want a simple shoe. Same goes for if you choose a bit of a statement sneaker, you’ll want to keep your outfit simple.
