With the holidays in full swing, it’s a reminder that everyone is hustling to get his or her holiday memories captured on film.  Yes, this means standing in line for hours, waiting to see Santa alongside screaming children!
Well, I’m here to help wipe out that Bah Humbug attitude and get you (yes, I said you!) behind a lens, capturing your own perfect photos so you don’t have to brave the cold…or the mall!

This helpful blog post from my new photographer friend Katie Driscoll will not only get your little ones smiling, but will help you snap the moments you love this holiday season.  Her blog 5 Boys + 1 Girl Make 6 is one of my faves and she is also the founder of Changing the Face Of Beauty, a remarkable non-profit that is changing the way advertisers market “real beauty.”
In Katie’s blog post, she gives you tips on how to capture your little with seven simple tips that can make all the difference. She covers everything from lighting, the importance of comfort and getting the magic of details in your shots. No matter what your photography level – you can do this!

Also, you might have noticed that our Zelda is in some of these sweet snapshots! We were so grateful to have participated in this shoot, which was shot by Katie and part of the Changing the Face of Beauty campaign. Katie’s only daughter, and youngest child of six, Grace has Down Syndrome, and after her birth it became Katie’s mission to have children with special needs represented in advertisements. She has made great strides in her mission, and we have a feeling she’s just getting started!
We are so happy to support her with this brilliant endeavor and would love for you to spread the love as well!
