Out with the old and in with the new! Say hello the 2015 trends that will be replacing our beloved (but getting old) 2014 trends (I for one am happy to be saying goodbye to peplum styles for awhile!).

While you’ll want to hold onto those boyfriend jeans, it’s time to give them a break. High water pants are a bold choice, but with a little practice and the right styling (and of course, attitude!) these are worth the work.

Wear these jeans with basics, either a button down or a tee. Tucking in the front will show your shape, which is the key when wearing looser fitting pants. Opt for a shoe with feminine details, whether it’s a classic stiletto, or if flats are more your speed, go for a pair with a bow or a jeweled embellishment.

While we loved a good two piece dress last year, shirt dresses are where it’s at for 2015. The beauty of this piece is that it’s completely customizable, you can accessorize this to be a perfect fit for your style. Fabric and fit are the key to how this piece wears, so choose one that is a good fit for you.

Pop art prints certainly made their mark in 2014, but this year we’re toning it down a bit. Gingham gives you your pattern fix, but in a way that’s not so in your face. For maximum impact choose a larger scale print, a smaller print allows you to test the waters without having all eyes on you. Take it easy in the way of accessories with this one, let the pattern do the talking!

I think we might (finally) be saying goodbye to the peplum for a while. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time; we both need a break from each other. The apron skirt is the 2015 trend that I think will be the most interesting. We’ll definitely be seeing lot of this layering technique.

To achieve the look just layer a shorter skirt over a longer skirt or dress. Things are gonna get interesting! For this one you’ll need to know what looks good on your body, in the way of dress/skirt lengths and shapes. The best way to find out if you’re not sure? Play dress up! I’m excited to try a mini skirt with some flounce over a dress with a pencil skirt.

Say goodbye to those boxy cuts from last year kept our shoulders covered! When you’re looking for an outfit for date night or girls’ night out, go for a one shouldered piece. It’s fresh and will keep you cool when the temperature heats up. Save this style for evenings or weekends, and for extra cool points pair a one shouldered top with a loose fitting trouser. Just don’t be surprised when all eyes are on you!
