Samantha Broderick is a Rad Mom to sweet little lady, Isla Quinn. She and her husband are East Coast Natives, but uprooted two years ago to follow his job to Utah. This talented creative moonlights as a lifestyle photographer, primarily working with families and brands. On the side, she blogs all about her life on her site, Above Harrison. She wanted a place to keep all of her + her family’s memories and be held accountable to keep up with it (mad respect for her!).
Samantha Broderick is featured at Glitter and Bubbles' RAD Mom of the week.
She let us in on another reason for the birth of her blog and excessive Instagramming, “It’s the easiest way to keep all of our family in the loop without portioning off two full days of our lives filling in every one in.” We couldn’t agree more!

Little’s Name & Age: Isla Quinn – 9 months old.
Top Beauty Product You Must Have as a Mom: Pro-Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation – This is my holy grail. It covers all the stress breakouts, the dark circles and makes me feel like a functioning human again. Even though being a mom kicks my booty sometimes.
Favorite Lipstick Color or Chapstick: I blame my husband for this one, but I always have Burt’s Bees Lip Balm on hand. Always. And if for some reason, I need to spice things up. I love Clinique’s Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Super Strawberry.
Top 3 Pieces of Baby Gear: Hands down my favorite in this order: Stokke Bouncer (the only reason I’ve been able to compose this email), Organic Puffs by Happy Baby (I am in no way above food bribery), and my Sakura Bloom (because sometimes the only way to get shiz done around here is to strap the kid to your body).
Favorite Kids Clothing Brand: I’m the biggest Zara Baby fan and I’m so bummed that there are no stores in Utah! But, alas, I will continue to fill my online shopping cart with goodies (and then, close the browser because, welcome to reality). No, but seriously, they have some killer deals on basics for babes every once in a while. Besides Zara, if I need something in a pinch, I’ve been super impressed with Old Navy and Baby Gap.
Activity You Love to Do With Your Littles: Eat. Just kidding. Kind of. But really, we both get stir crazy if we’re in the house for too many days in a row. If that’s the case, our favorite thing to do together is head out to Salt Lake and persue the city. She happily people watches strapped to my chest and I relish in the fact that she’s not yelling at me. Rejoice! Then, we find some food.
Your Secret Obsession When You Get an Hour to Yourself: I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out what my secret obsession is…and I finally realized what it is, but it’s not so secret. I love when I have a chance to get out of the house for client meetings or photoshoots. It’s just me time and I get to focus on one of my passions of meeting people and telling their story. Plus, there’s usually a latte or two involved and that is just the icing on the cake. My husband is super excited when I come home all jazzed and hopped up on caffeine at 7 PM after a shoot. Sarcasm.
Closet Staple That You Can’t Live Without: My husband’s button-ups. They’re perfectly oversized, comfy, structured and look like I put effort into my outfit with some skinny jeans, booties and a sweater pullover. Plus, Isla is always pumped when she has easy access to the goods. My wardrobe has drastically changed to, “How easily can I feed my child in this?”
Favorite Snack or Dessert Recipe to Make for Your Littles: Isla is a tad limited by the seven teeth she has, but there is one snack she’s always clawing to get to. Just a basic smoothie. Although she can’t have honey yet, my favorite thing to top my smoothie with is some homemade granola. Click here to get the recipe.
