Shortly we’ll be saying goodbye to 2019 and hello to the new year! Whether you decide to celebrate with your babes noon year’s style or stay up with them into 2020, they should be able to participate in the fun festivities. And what’s a fun event without a fabulous drink? Zelda and I made a list of some of our favorite ingredients and then figured out how to make them into kid-friendly mocktails! We are excited to say we created the Cranberry Orange Spritz, the Pop Rocks Pear Punch and a Cotton Candy Rainbow Sparkling Cider. Which drink is your favorite? Tell us in the comments below!

What’s a fun event without a fabulous drink?

ingredients

CRANBERRY ORANGE SPRITZ

  • 1 Cup Orange Juice
  • ¼ Cup Cranberries
  • ½ Cup Club Soda
  • ½ Teaspoon Sugar

POP ROCKS PEAR PUNCH

  • ½ Lemon
  • ½ Cup Club Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Can Pear Nectar (11.5 oz.)
  • 1 Bag Pop Rocks
  • Rainbow Candy Sticks
  • 1 Teaspoon Corn Syrup (for the rim)

COTTON CANDY RAINBOW SPARKLING CIDER

  • Cotton Candy
  • Rainbow Sprinkles
  • Sparkling Cider
  • 1 Teaspoon Corn Syrup (for the rim)
instructions
  1. To make the Cranberry Orange Spritz whisk together orange juice, club soda and sugar.
  2. Brush a skillet with olive oil and cook the cranberries over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. You want the cranberries to burst slightly. Mash them with the back of a spoon and add to the orange juice, soda and sugar mixture; whisk.
  3. Place a strainer over a separate bowl and pour the mix into the strainer. This will remove the cranberry skins.
  4. Pour into two or three glasses and garnish with oranges and cranberries!
  5. To make the Pop Rocks Pear Punch, whisk together the club soda, sugar and pear nectar. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into the mix and whisk.
  6. Place the Pop Rocks into a shallow tray and brush the rim of a glass with corn syrup. Press into the Pop Rocks to line the rim.
  7. Pour the punch into the glass and garnish with two rainbow candy sticks, serve to littles!
  8. To make the Cotton Candy Rainbow Sparkling Cider, place the rainbow sprinkles into a shallow dish.
  9. Brush the rim of the champagne glass with corn syrup and press into the sprinkles to line the rim.
  10. Pour in the sparkling cider and top with cotton candy (make sure the cotton candy doesn’t touch the sparkling cider – it yields an off-putting color).
  11. Serve to littles and cheers to 2017!
