It’s finally the weekend! In order to help you and your crew make the most of it, I’ve rounded up some super fun things you can do around the city so you don’t have to waste your time spending hours searching, debating, and ultimately sitting on the couch watching TV (though if that’s your thing, that’s cool too!). There are multiple food fests going on, something for the daredevils and more in store! Los Angeles based readers or visitors, you’re in luck. I’ve pulled some magical things for you to do too!

Chicago Hot Dog Fest: Our city has so many food fests, and the Hot Dog Fest is not one to miss! You’ll find it at the corner of Stockton and LaSalle beginning tonight and ending on Sunday. You can see how different vendors from around the city fix up hot dogs, and if you’re still not sold, there are plenty of activities for the babes too!
Toruk the First Flight: This Cirque de Soleil performance is based on the film Avatar, so you know it’s going to be out of this world! You can catch the show Friday or Saturday (check here for times and ticket pricing) at the United Center.
Bucktown Tree and Garden Walk: The weather is supposed to be gorgeous this weekend, so take full advantage and spend some time outside. Say hello to the Tree and Garden Walk in Bucktown! It has tons of garden inspo for you and fun activities for the littles – we call that a win-win! Check it out either Saturday or Sunday; the fun begins at 10am in Churchill Park.
Taste of Lincoln Avenue Kid’s Carnival: Another street fest going on this weekend is the Taste of Lincoln Avenue, and if this is your crew’s thing you can’t miss this! They have a huge kids area with so much to do your babes won’t know where to start. On both Saturday and Sunday the fun gets started at 12pm, check here for full details. Oh, and did we mention admission is free!?
IFLY Indoor Skydiving: Calling all thrill-seekers! iFly has opened its doors in Lincoln Park (they have locations in Naperville and Rosemont too if you’re not in the city) and it looks like crazy fun! Ages three and up can fly, but they recommend taking a look at their restrictions before you book.
