For some time Zelda has been into ride-on cars, she’ll hop on while we’re out for a walk and even ask to bring it along when we go out to dinner. I could see that the obsession wasn’t going away anytime soon, and I knew it was time to get something I’d been waiting on for a while. A Radio Flyer Wagon. It’s a childhood classic and perfect for all different lifestyles, city dwellers included.
What I wasn’t aware of when I decided to purchase one was that Radio Flyer has so many different wagon options! I’m not even talking about the other products they offer, like the classic red tricycle, plus so much more! They’ve got a wagon for everyone, and if you don’t see what you’re looking for, you have the option to build a wagon. That’s what I did, and I am thrilled with the result!
I wanted Zelda’s wagon to look classic, with some modern touches, and the result is perfect for our on the go lifestyle. We went with the traditional body style, added a canopy for hot summer days to come and tacked on an MP3 Speaker System. I’m a fan of this particular add on because it allows Zelda to bump her favorite Beyonce tunes, and spares my phone from the inevitable tumble. Although I have to say my personal favorite element of the wagon would be the wheels. I went for the all-terrain and I’m so glad I did. They make Zelda’s ride so much smoother when we’re navigating a bumpy sidewalk, which happens when you’re out and about in the city. Overall the process was super simple.
Our wagon showed up about a week after I placed the order, and I got to work on assembly right away. About half way through Zelda came over to inspect, looked everything over and gave me the go ahead to proceed. I am happy to report that unlike Zelda’s play kitchen, the wagon assembly was a breeze! When I was finished, she promptly began gathering her things from around the house and in her teepee and started placing them in the wagon! We definitely have a hit on our hands! She somehow manages to pull it into the living room, hop in and just hang. This happens constantly, she can’t get enough of it.
Our Radio Flyer has become a mainstay during our outings, and I love it as much as Zelda does. I love seeing her take in the sights as we go around the neighborhood, and I really love that I will be able to fill it with flowers and other farmers market findings in just a few short weeks!
