In the weeks leading up to Mother’s Day I mentioned that my friend Hallie Duesenberg was doing a Pop-Up photo shoot at the DL Loft. I knew it would be darling so Z and I booked an evening session and had loads of fun! The DL Loft is awesome without any help but the addition of pretty pastel balloons, perfect springtime blooms from Flowers for Dreams (flower crowns included) made it magical! The day’s glam squad included Shannon O’Brien and Blowout Junkie who got everyone camera ready for their session. We made the most of our time and got images that we’ll treasure forever. You might recognize Hallie’s name from our Mini & Me shoots. As the eye behind the camera she always does a stellar job of capturing Zelda’s vibrant personality.
Z and I have been to the the DL Loft multiple times before (including for one very special event!), and we adore it’s rustic chic vibe. Everything is so airy and pretty, it seriously feels like a dreamland. Knowing the setting we decided that all black ensembles would juxtapose nicely there not to mention it’s just so us. We both love wearing all black, and though it may not be the first choice that comes to mind for springtime photos, let alone Mother’s Day, it creates a contrast that works together nicely. I’m so happy with the result, these pictures are the best gift I could ask for!
While her Mother’s Day Pop-Up is over, Hallie is available for sessions. You can get info on how to book her here, I can’t say enough awesome things about her and her photography! You might think these shoots involve hours of sitting and/or standing for long periods of time and kids screaming. Think again, these shoots are so quick! The Mother’s Day shoot we did was 15 minutes, and look at the shots we got. They’re amazing! So don’t think you have to dedicate a day to this, it’s not that time consuming.
