On the last day of our recent girls trip to Los Angeles Zelda and I made a trip to the hottest new restaurant on the block, Au Fudge. We’ve talked about the sweet space before and couldn’t wait to check it out for ourselves, and I’m happy to report that it surpassed our expectations. As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice that it doesn’t feel like a kids restaurant, and that’s because it’s not. What it is a restaurant that takes kid friendly to a whole new level.
The interior is the perfect combo of cozy and chic, everything from the black and white tiled floor to the fun dishes that your food comes out on are so unique. While we’re talking about the food, not only is it oh so yummy, but it’s plated in a way that is friendly for little fingers, which can be a battle in itself. Mealtime battles be gone, babes will actually want to eat their veggies here!
My favorite surprise feature of the restaurant is definitely the Creative Space. This is a magical room that lets your child play and create to their hearts content while you wait for your food to arrive, and maybe have a glass of wine without Doc McStuffins playing in the background. When your food arrives you can go check them out and have them join you at the table so you can enjoy your meal together. It costs $15 per hour for access to the Creative Space, and I think it’s worth it for everyone. I had a difficult time getting Zelda to leave, she could have chilled in that room all day!
